   First pair had a damaged right shoe, so I ordered another. I tried to keep these shoes. I really loved the look and the stitching detail. I tried them on different times of day, before meals, after meals, with different socks, stockings…thinking at one point or another they would be more comfortable. Bottom line, not wide enough. There are no wide widths available, but they wouldn’t look as nice if they were wider anyway. Another issue I had trouble with was the squeaking. Both shoes squeak with every step.

   Very high quality leather…thick and incredibly stiff at first, but nothing a few coats of leather conditioner couldn’t help. Beautiful shoes…very sharp looking for jeans, slacks, leggings, or even the right skirt/dress. I typically take a 9.5-10, ordered a 10. I thought they were too small and too narrow but once conditioned they fit great. Take the time to break these in around the house a bit.

   Love La Canadienne. Remember to order EU sizes, e.g., US 7 = EU 37 which translates to a US 6.5 in this brand. Very well made, should wear through many seasons.
