I really wanted to like these boots for travel in inclement weather. They had sooo much potential: fashionable almond toe, substantial heel, excellent grip, perfect calf fit, superior stability, luxurious lining, comfortable sole…, but the pitch is weird. I often find this a problem with chunky-heeled shoes. It could be just me, so I would say give them a shot. If La Canadienne ever comes out with them in a two inch heel, I will jump on them!
Two more things to be aware of: the leather comes a bit creased, as if they had been worn. I don’t think they were, because I ordered two pairs, and they both looked like this. I think it’s a design feature. They also run small. I have smallish fit for my size. Consider ordering the next larger size.

The shoes are well made and beautiful. The problem I had with the shoes was weird and uncomfortable fit around ankle area.
