   I’ve had other La Canadienne boots and they come in half sizes. This style has European sizing: 37, 38, 39, etc. My usual size is 7 1/2 but the EU38 fits more like a 7. I’m going to try the 39…I’ll let you know how it goes.

   I wanted a pair of boot from La Canadienne and these were on sale for a good price. I typically would not buy the brand because they are so expensive. The quality of the boot is fantastic. Smooth leather, a leather insole and thick lug soles. Unfortunately, even though I purchased my regular size, they were too big. Additionally, the style of the boot also made my foot look big. The toe of the boot has a “bubble” that made my size 8 or 8.5 feet look like they were at least two sizes bigger. Even if the sizing wasn’t a bit off, I would have returned them since I didn’t want to look like big foot clomping around town.

   I ordered a size 9-9.5 when I am usually an 8.5 based on this brand running small. They are a bit big but very comfortable and super lightweight. I love them. In my opinion they run true to size.

   I have wanted a pair of Royal Canadiennes for a long time. Even on sale,they were expensive, but they are beautifully made. Everything is leather, insoles, lining and of shoe itself. Hopefully, they will last a long time and I’ll wear them for years.

   These boots are gorgeous! The mattish off-white color is modern, and the quilted pattern gives them extra oomph. My first order was my normal size 35 but had to exchange to 36. My feet are borderline wide–so, these are a wee bit snug with thick socks. I tested them in the rain. Even walking through puddles, my feet stayed dry, and stylish.

   These looked so great on the website and the fit seemed ok. But the shoes arrived so banged up. There was some kind of pink pen markings on them as well as scuff marks. As though maybe they had been worn? Anyway I guess I could have tried to clean them but that seemed silly even on sale.

   Surprisingly the size 35 fit like a 37. The boots were so big I could take them off without unzipping them.
