I really like the higher front rise on these jeans but there is a strong and unpleasant odor embedded in the “raisin stone” color that refuses to be washed out. Please clothing designers, give us more pants like these that actually sit at the waist and give us some room.

These are great pair of jeans, but they’re no different in cut than the regular 501s. The only difference is that the fabric seems thicker. Also, these are not like 501s from 1993. I wore 501s in 1993. . .
Regarding size: Go up one inch from you regular waist size. 501s fit small in the waist.

I Purchased these because they claim they are made in Japan. They are not. One pair was made in China and the other made in Egypt. Same as all their other clothing. Nothing special here.

The dye odor went away after about 8 washes.

Straight Jean is NOT a correct description. These are quite tapered in the legs. They are not ‘skinny’ jeans, but they are substantially tapered. The fact that the fit is trim, is countered by the elasticity of the fabric. The rise goes to the waist, which is helpful if you are more comfortable with a higher rise. Over all they are a pretty good pair of jeans. The fabric looks and feels thinner than other “Premium ’93” jeans, which I also own.

These were the STRECH fabric impossable to tell on sight what your buying. I still cant tell the diferance in the discription on your sight. Thay all are not “ORIGNAL” 501″s

Feels tighter and cheeper than my other 501 93 premiums. Also, it came without some of the tags that suggests it was already returned or used.
