Anne D –
THESE RUN INCREDIBLY SMALL. I have been wearing Levi’s for years and every pair I own is a size 28. This includes jeans with stretch and rigid denim. In the 501 skinny, however, I had to size up two sizes to a 30. The waist on them is a little big, but the legs finally fit. They will require a lot of breaking in, but you can’t beat the style and look of them. The quality of denim is great! I’d recommend being careful with stretching and breaking them in as the rips are pretty big and will only get bigger as you stretch out the denim. I want to love these jeans so I’m hoping they’ll get more comfortable after a few wears.

I absolutely LOVE these jeans. First up, I did not have the sizing problems that other reviewers have encountered. I decided to order my usual size 28 and they fit like they were made for me. The fabric is sturdy yet very supple and has just the right amount of stretch. Being pear shaped I have a small waist and sizeable behind and thighs. The jeans hug all of it perfectly and make me look like a 1950’s pinup. The 28″ length just reaches my ankles and enables me to wear both flats or heels. Being at the same time statement making AND comfortable they are the perfect jeans to throw on in the morning and look fantastic all day. They are quite expensive but worth every penny! I purchased the lightest blue shade and ordered them in additional colors as soon as they arrived.

These are quintessential “mom” jeans. If you are going for the flat-butt-Beverly-Goldberg look, these are the jeans for you. As other members have suggested, these are 90’s jean material before the stretch was in. No give. Just plain old denim. I ordered them in the black distressed and my legs are apparently too long for the hole because it hit in an awkward spot above my knee… and I’m not tall, nor do I have long legs. Not for me. They will be going back.

Ordered a 27×30- the length was perfect (I’m 5’8) however, the 27 was too large and I am returning for a 26. I love these jeans and hope the 26 works!

I love the 505 have the ct. i am 5.5 174, thick legs ( not super skinny) i also butt and these did not complement my figure, i was trying to go for the relaxed mom jeans look although they fit i would defiantly have a hard time sitting as they are 100% cotton. They were tight at the leg, so i am exchanging.

Great pair of jeans. Thicker material. Love the high waistline. Been looking for a great pair to wear to work!

I love the 501 Skinny and have a few pairs in different sizes including the Summer Dune, Love Fool, and Chill Pill wash. It’s like the classic 501 jeans but longer and slimmer in the bottom part and the leg opening so it looks more modern. Sizing tip, if you want to get the fitted look like the models, match your hips measurement to the Levi’s size chart, not your waist. They loosen up over time so they should be snug or even tight at first. I was surprised that I had to size down to a 25 in these jeans even though I wear a comfy 28 in the 721 skinny because I am narrow in the hips compared to my waist. I get the 28 inseam but some are 29.5 and some are 27.5 etc and 29 is just to long for my petite height so the length inconsistency is sometimes an issue with this style. I am 5′ and 115lbs athletic straight build and I like the 25×28 fit best for the tight 501 bottom and 26 for a comfy looser fit.

These are amazing I once bought 501 at Levi’s store and the people there were insistent on my buying a 25 because they said you should get the tightest size you can so it can then mold to your body. They ended up giving a LITTLE but definitely not enough to justify going down a size. I’m 5’2” 120 lbs with a sort of curvy lower half, in a 26×30 I’m tucking them under to be the length I want at the moment, but they are absolutely perfect- out of the box. No break in time, just instant enjoyment.

Ordered these and they were too big. For reference I’m approximately 5’4″, 120 lbs and ordered the 26. Could have gone with a 24 probably but the smaller sizes are out of stock. They are nice jeans though. Thick material, good quality.

Best thick mom jeans ever. They ride high, but look super cute with either cropped and longer shirts/sweaters. I am pretty much between a 2 and 4 (26 and 27) and went for the 26… the 27 looked baggy and they stretched ever so slightly, so 26 was the way to go!

It was nice to have 100% cotton against my skin for a change. Also, the butt didn’t sag and the legs weren’t baggy. Having said that, and I can see from the picture, these are not skinny ankle, which is what I want. This ankle opening doesn’t look good with booties, in my opinion. In my opinion, this is a straight leg.
I ma returning these because of I am wanting skinny ankle (and butt, and leg).

Love non stretch jeans. 5’5 130lbs got size 28. It was a little baggy but i think size 27 would be a little snug because of no stretch. Wearing it more like slim boyfriend jeans

I wear a 30 in all cuts of Levi’s. For some reason I couldn’t get these past my thighs. They might be cute if I could get them in a 40??
Lisa –
Love these Levis. They have absolutely zero stretch, but I believe they fit true to size. I’m almost always a 26 and the 26 fit around my waist and hips but were a little tight on my calves and ankles. After some wear they would probably have stretched out but they were also a little too short for me and I was worried about shrinkage, so I sent them back.

thick denim, no stretch
hard to sit but looks fashionable

I am 5’7” and 116 lbs the size 26 in Horizons fit perfectly. I am normally a 27. I love the stiff fabric it provides structure and doesn’t ‘stick’ to your body or sag like stretchy jeans. The leg is skinny but not clingy and the ankle opening is perfect for heels or flats. Rise is just above belly button for me. I really like the look but be prepared it is definitely a very specific ‘flat butt’ mom jeans look!

I typically wear a 26 in the Levi wedgie fit, so I ordered the 26 in Coal Black for these as well. They ended up being too big overall, so I ordered the Horizon and Sansome Stone in the 25 because they Coal Black wasn’t available in the 26. The 25 fit perfectly in the Sansome, but was WAY too tight in the Horizon. Plus, the Horizon wash was that old school Levi wash that is super, super stiff until you wash and wear for awhile. So, I sent the Horizon back and kept the Sansome. Love the 501 Skinny, it reminds me of the regular 501 jeans I wore late eighties, early nineties. Higher rise, tapered in waist and legs, a little roomier in the thighs, no stretch. The jeans stretch out after wearing, but as one reviewer said, they magically seem to shrink back before the next wear. For reference, I’m 5’3”, 112 lbs and smaller waist with slightly bigger hips and thighs. I typically wear a 26P in Madewell Curvy Skinnies.

These fit a bit bigger tah the wedgie Charleston stroll jeans but they are very comfortable and still fit well. My problem is that they came with the missing “Levi’s” in the red tag.

Wild bunch runs large. I am 5’4 and currently 115 lbs which means I should not be finding the smallest size too big. The color and style are great looking, and I can make them work, but the 501 skinnies are so irregular in sizing. I find most of them cut so that in order for my legs to fit, the top has to be too loose. I prefer a mom to very little stretch jean, but I think they could cut these better.

I am 5’2 138 lbs. I am a true 28 in Levi’s. I ordered both size 28 and 27. And I kept the 27 because they fit much sleeker. I like a little loose but not baggy for comfort and lighter more casual colors. But, for the sansome stone wash I like a tighter fit much better. The denim is thick no stretch denim. But does mold and stretch to your body over time. Love them! Just like all my other 501 skinnies.

I ordered the Coal Black, We the People, and Sansome washes, all in size 28. The fit on all three were very flattering (though Sansome felt the loosest and We the People the most snug). In the end, I kept both the Coal Black (which feels like the thickest, heaviest denim), and We the People, which is also nice and thick. Both of those colors were much thicker and more durable seeming than the Sansome wash, which was a very lightweight, thin denim, albeit 100% cotton. (I was expecting the Sansome wash to be the sort of heavy, old school denim that men’s jeans are still made of, particularly bc it was the only 100% cotton wash, but it was actually a thin denim, almost a summer weight.) Because I am in the market for heavier denim, I kept the first two. They both have maybe 1% or 2% stretch in them, but their thickness makes up for it, and they are absolutely the best shaped jeans for my hourglass body.

LOVE these in the faded black. I’m an athletic build, a true 4/6 or 28, and 501’s run a little bigger. So these in 26 fit like a glove. 27’s fit really great too but felt a little more roomy, one probably wouldn’t notice until they were to stretch out after wearing.

Flattering and comfortable no stretch jeans. Ordered the 27 which fit a little lose. For a more snug fit size down.

I wanted 100% cotton and some of the 501 Premiums are 100% cotton. I received Jive Blue and the tag says 99% cotton and 1% stretch. My guess is that the material actually contains a higher amount of stretch. The material felt rubbery, if that makes any sense.

Ordered these to replace some of my pre-Covid jeans (size 6) that are now one size too small (I’m currently an 8). I normally need one size up in Levi’s anyway, so I ordered the 30 and they fit perfectly- just slightly roomy which is how I like it! I ordered in black and they’re absolutely my new favorite jeans. I will be ordering in more washes!
